9 reasons why your phone battery does not last

A lot of the activities we do on our smartphones kill the battery. If you are indulging in the following, then don’t look too far for the reasons why your phone battery is always draining out:
Games
Playing games on the smartphone is a battery draining activity. Games apps place a heavy load on phone batteries with their online connectivity and flashy graphics. If you want to conserve your phone’s power, minimise your games.
Facebook

Screen brightness
There is hardly anyone who does not constantly glance at Facebook on their phones throughout the day. You can save 20 per cent of your battery by limiting your time on Facebook.
Though it’s important to see what you’re doing with the bright light from the screen of your phone, you may not be aware of the fact that keeping your screen’s brightness all the way up is killing your battery. Diming the screen will help conserve the power.
Enabling Bluetooth
Hooking up a device via Bluetooth is easy and quick. But if you’re not going to be using it, disable the Bluetooth. It may not be the worst when it comes to draining your power, but constantly having it enabled and not using it is just a waste.
Location services
Global Positioning System (GPS) or location-based services help us find our way around town. But if you leave your GPS on all the time, you may not have enough battery power left to help you finish a trip. As an alternative, you can use the offline version of Google maps.
Music apps
Music apps like Pandora, Rhapsody and Spotify consume a lot of battery. According to www.grunge.com, Spotify is one of the biggest battery killers.
Snapchat
Two things happen when you use snapchat, the camera takes up energy and location-based apps are enabled, both of which put a lot of pressure on your phone battery.
Facebook Messenger
Facebook Messenger is one of the most popular communication apps around. Because of this, it’s one of the most-used apps, and also one of the biggest battery hogs.
Netflix
Netflix is a handy videostreaming service that offers HD video quality over WiFi. It is also a battery killer.
